Mr. Leslie Awere‑Kyere has 30 years of experience since graduating with an honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Science & Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. During his early career he was employed by the Ghana Highway Authority, where he spent 2 years as an engineer‑in‑training and a further 2 years as Materials Engineer.
In 1990, Mr. Awere‑Kyere co‑founded Constro Consult Limited and since then he has specialized in the geotechnical and materials disciplines, and in project management. He has also undertaken the design of road works and structures.
Between 1994 and 1999, Mr. Awere‑Kyere undertook the materials investigations, pavement design and construction supervision of the roads in two housing complexes in Accra and Obuasi which provided a total of 650 houses. On these projects he was also the project manager.
Since 2001 Mr. Awere-Kyere has been a pavement/materials engineer for the Department of Feeder Roads on the European Union Cocoa Stabilization (STABEX) project, the design of local roads Department of Urban Roads on the World Bank Road Sector Development Project and Various District Assemblies under the World Bank Community-Based Rural Development Project (CBRDP) as well as various corporate entities.
Mr. Awere‑Kyere has lectured on the testing of bituminous materials to technicians at the Ghana Highway Training School at Shai Hills.
